Life. Life can be pretty challenging at times with its ups and downs and rollercoaster rides. I mean one day you’re having the greatest day and then you land up stuck behind some guy in the traffic who thinks it’s Sunday and that Johannesburg is a sightseeing destination. Or you are driving 70 in a 60 zone (did I say that?) and some woman behind you starts flashing her lights and waving her hands to get you to move over to the “slow” lane.
Life is unpredictable at times and what gets me through and brings me joy is to find or notice the good - Part of that is giving to others. It is uplifting to see happy smiles (even the emoticon versions of them). I see the gratitude on my daughter’s face when I make her school lunch; I share in some funny internet joke with my son or see my little one singing to the dog. I also look around me and see what I have and I remember to be thankful. I love my husband’s cute smile/ laugh when he finds something particularly funny. I often think I must have done something good to deserve what and who I have in my life.
The Universe. For me the Universe translates as G-d and all He created unless it means Mike Dooley who writes as “The Universe”. (I love Mike Dooley’s posts by the way). I am grateful for the gifts that I have been given, my talents that is, and I try to use them. I don’t think exercising is one of them though. Every day is a new day and I work at my self-growth regularly. I don’t like staying stuck. I love the world that G-d created and the beauty around me: The trees; the flowers; the animals; the sky and clouds and the people with their inner and outer beauty. I believe that we are here for a purpose and I try and live with purpose. It can be challenging when things don’t go according to plan or when things don’t go “my way” but I see it as a learning curve and I try to be more flexible and creative in my thinking and the way I interact with others as often as possible
The Price of eggs in China. Google says it’s about $3 for a dozen chicken eggs.
Have an awesome day.
